The Great Salt Lake Council White Buffalo District Award of Merit

Andy received a letter a month or so ago. It was a letter to tell him that he was nominated by his peers to recieve the District Award of Merit in recognition of his dedication and service to youth consistent with the ideals and principals of scouting. It is the highest honor given by Districts in the Great Salt Lake Council. After Andy took a new job that took him out of town, he was sad that he was released from his Scoutmaster position. He often says how much he misses the boys and the activities. I am proud and pleased that he was nominated. He did a lot for the scouts and put his heart and soul into the calling. Along with him, his friend and fellow scout master over the priests, Dustin also was awarded this honor.

Love ya babe!

This is awesome! Good job Andy! Did they have anyone fun come talk at the award ceremony? Ben got this award a few years ago and they had a dinner of lasagna and the stuff that goes with it. Fast forward 2 years, Last weekend we talked to the lady who organizes it and she tells us that this year they got Texas Roadhouse to donate the dinner. CRAP! Some people have all the luck!
Congrats anyway.
